Tinkering School Lake Erie, a program of Lake Erie Adventure Play, is offering two week-long day camps for youth (10-13) to use real tools and materials to build amazing things. The camps are made possible with the help of local businesses and organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Port Clinton, Materion Inc., Snyder Group of Companies, and United Way in Ottawa County. Tinkering School is based on the philosophy that children can be empowered and inspired by using real tools to solve real problems in a creative atmosphere that is open to failure. The camps will be led by Jerod Christy, a sculptor from Toledo.
