A group of women from Ulladulla Woman's Shed held their first woodworking event to make donation boxes for their organization. The ladies learned how to use power tools and cut, glue, nail, sand, and paint the timber pieces. Shed president Liz Carpenter hopes to produce 20 painted purple boxes to raise funds for the group. The workshop aims to give women the skills to do small repairs, make and restore furniture, and provide a social gathering. The group will also learn mechanical basics at a workshop to be held on June 12.
